Who this code applies to
Excellence in Digital Banking 7.0 — International Summit is a place for senior professionals to share knowledge, disagree constructively and meet peers. This code applies to everyone who takes part: delegates, speakers, panellists and moderators, sponsors and exhibitors, and the PulseCore Conferences team. It applies at the venue in Amsterdam, at every session, networking break and exhibitor table, and in every online part of the summit, including the live stream, virtual networking and video interactions.
What we expect
- Treat everyone with respect and courtesy, whatever their role, seniority or organisation.
- Challenge ideas, not people. Keep questions and debate professional, and give others room to speak.
- Respect speakers’ time slots and the moderator’s decisions during panels and Q&A.
- Accept a “no” the first time, whether to a conversation, a meeting request, a business card or a photograph.
- Use the participants list and contacts you make at the summit for genuine professional follow-up, not for bulk unsolicited marketing.
- Follow the house rules of the venue and the instructions of the organising team and venue staff.
What is not acceptable
Harassment and discrimination are not tolerated in any form. This includes:
- offensive or demeaning comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, age, ethnicity, nationality or religion;
- unwelcome physical contact, sexual attention or sexualised language and imagery, including in presentations and online messages;
- intimidation, threats, stalking or following someone;
- photographing or recording people who have asked not to be, or sharing someone’s personal information without their permission;
- sustained disruption of sessions, panels or online discussions;
- continuing a sales pitch or contact after being asked to stop.
How to report a concern
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaks this code, or anything else that makes you feel unsafe, please tell us as soon as you can:
- at the venue, speak to any member of the PulseCore Conferences team;
- at any time, before, during or after the summit, email bernard.gourion@pulsecore-conferences.com or call +420 234 290 861.
If you can, include what happened, when and where, who was involved and whether anyone else saw it. We handle reports discreetly, and we do not share the identity of the person reporting without their permission, except where the law requires it. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the local emergency services first; in the Netherlands, as across the EU, the number is 112.
Consequences
Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behaviour is expected to stop at once. Depending on what happened, the organising team may:
- give a warning;
- end a presentation, remove content or stop someone from speaking;
- ask the person to leave the session or the venue, or remove their access to the online parts of the summit;
- decline future participation in PulseCore Conferences events;
- involve venue security or the police where behaviour may be unlawful.
These measures apply to delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors alike.
